Peterson Insurance was very happy to partner this year with one of our commercial client’s Blush Clothing Boutique and contribute a donation to Girls for A Change. The nonprofit youth development organization is aimed at empowering Black girls and other girls of color to visualize their bright futures and potential through discovery, development, innovation, and social change in local communities throughout Central Virginia. They welcome all girls to join and empower young women by inviting them to design, lead, fund, and implement social change projects.
We are a woman owned business and support Girls for A Change’s goal that every girl gets the opportunity to be seen, heard, and celebrated. We feel that it is so important to support all members of our local community and local communities across the country. Susie Peterson and her mother were both teachers and we still believe in the power of knowledge and opportunity that leadership and education can create for children.

The owner Tarrah Ashley donated $10 for each article of clothing sold during a sale in June and was able to raise over $500 along with our matching $500 donation, bringing the total to over $1,000 for this year.
