Peterson Insurance was thrilled to fill up our year sponsoring three wonderful community events in 2019! We kicked off the holiday season with the popular Reindeer Romp in December, followed by the Haverford Home and Garden Show in the Spring and rounded things out with a fun day in the sun during the Summer with the St. John’s Indian Orthodox Church for their congregation’s annual picnic!
Reindeer Romp & Pub Crawl
Ashley and Maggie ran the booth along with their two children who tagged along to hand out merchandise! Maggie’s husband and fellow Peterson Insurance agent Ted was the active member of the group who ran the 5k! We all had a great day connecting with local community members and the other local businesses that sponsor the event. This was the 22nd Annual 5K fun run, walk, and pub crawl. It raised over $32k for The American Cancer Society. We are so proud to be a contributor to the great cause. The event is held in memory of Brandon Lake, a local Havertown boy who lost his fight with cancer. Nolan Painting is the presenting sponsor and event organizer and we are honored to be another local business alongside their organization that does so much for the community. Haverford Home & Garden Show
2019 was Peterson Insurance’s first year as a sponsor for the Home and Garden Show and the second year for the show since it started in 2018. HPED (Haverford Partnership for Economic Development) is the event organizer and we are also proud to say that they are one of our policyholders. We love supporting the HPED’s events as they work hard to beautify and grow the local business community. The show was so much fun and we hope you will join for the next one in 2021! St. John’s Indian Orthodox Church Picnic
We have had a wonderful longstanding relationship with the congregation members of St. John’s Indian Orthodox Church located in Drexel Hill, PA. We are so proud to say that several of their members are policyholders and we are so grateful for their continued support and friendship with our agency. We sponsor their Church every year and in return they are gracious enough to invite us to their annual picnic. Susie, Charlie, Ashley, and her son Callum were able to attend this past year for the 2019 picnic and didn’t leave without getting a big group photo! They played games at the park, including Ashley taking part in a relay race! They also enjoyed wonderful homemade food along with time spent enjoying everyone’s company on a beautiful day. While the picnic has been called off this year due to the pandemic, we look forward to a healthy and safe picnic next year in 2021!
